ABOUT

Halcyon Health is a concept for a preventive health membership in San Francisco: baseline panel, continuous monitoring, clinical interpretation by a named team. The brief came with one constraint, no color, so typography and layout carry the entire brand. Built in Framer in under a week.

CHALLENGES

The category has two defaults. Clinical white that reads like an audit, or wellness pastel with nothing behind it. Halcyon is a program you apply to and wait for, so it had to read trusted and still human, with no color available to signal either.

Instrument Serif and Instrument Sans split the work. Serif carries the statements, sans carries biomarkers, phases and labels. Scale and spacing do what color usually does, the states are drawn with rules and frames instead of green and red. Layout was the hard part: five phases, four outcome figures and a clinical team, all in one read from the hero to the application form.
